Typhoon Durian: Category 4 (Severe Tropical Cyclone)

Typhoon Utor: Category 4 (Severe Tropical Cyclone)

Central Philippines (Legazpi City, Albay and the Bicol Region) was hit by Typhoon Durian in late November and then blasted by Typhoon Utor in December. The torrential rains not only caused massive flooding, but deadly mudslides from the volcanic slopes of Mount Mayon, killing more than 800 and displacing 200,000. Mercy Relief responded swiftly, providing aid to over 800 families in Legaspi City.
