As the nation gears up for the Singapore Grand Prix 2010 happening this weekend, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), a proud sponsor of the Williams race team, took time off from their hectic schedule to help cushion the pains of those in need.
Last night, Mercy Relief (MR) received a cheque for SGD $15,000 from RBS Country Executive for Singapore, Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb, RBS Global Ambassador Sir Jackie Stewart and AT&T Williams driver, Nico Hulkenberg.
This is the second time MR has received donations from RBS. Last year, with the funds raised, RBS supported our Pakistan North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) Swat Valley Humanitarian Crisis relief effort to provide an ambulance at our maternity and child healthcare centre. In addition, the money also went towards the provision of furniture for the temporary schools that MR set up following the earthquake in West Java. This year, MR hopes to channel the funds towards our flood relief effort in Pakistan where we will be back on the ground next week to distribute further aid.

MR is truly grateful to have a dependable corporate partner like RBS who continues to support our humanitarian efforts relentlessly year after year. MR can only do as much as the support we get.
