A 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck Morocco on Friday 8th September destroying towns and villages, leaving behind a death toll of 3000 and rapidly rising, with thousands injured and survivors struggling in makeshift shelters.
Mercy Relief’s emergency response team is travelling to Morocco to extend relief aid to earthquake victims and will be distributing food, water, shelter tents and blankets to the most affected communities and vulnerable families.
Donate now to join us in helping affected families in Morocco. Together, we can make an impact during this tragic period of loss and mourning.
Donations are received with the understanding that Mercy Relief has discretion over the use of the donated funds. Every effort will be made to use your donation in accordance with your indicated intention. However, donations to programmes that oversubscribed or had been substantially completed, may be re-directed to those that have similar intent, including the general fund which administers these projects centrally and with within the objects of our charity.
Donations for overseas purposes (any Disaster Relief Fund) are not tax-deductible. Tax exemption is allowed for donations to an IPC for its local facilities and programmes. Tax exemption is not allowed to the IPC if the donations are for foreign charitable purposes.
