Little Mercy Web Games
Besides extending hands to people in need overseas, Mercy Relief is also embarking on local projects to raise awareness about the ongoing humanitarian needs.
Produced by final year students from Nanyang Polytechnic’s School of Interactive and Digital Media, “Little Mercy” is a platform to engage and educate children on the operations of humanitarian relief.
As of Dec 2012, "Little Mercy" consists of five different games - Little Jellybean Adventure, Speedy Rescue and Relief Rush, Piyo Rescue and Sun Sun's Water Rescue. Designed and produced over a period of three months, each game comes with unique characters to ‘transport’ the players into the world of humanitarian workers and is suitable for children aged five to twelve.
Besides imparting knowledge on humanitarian work, the online games aim to raise awareness amongst the younger generation on the mechanics of humanitarian work in a simple and fun way. At the same time, the games also encourage them to avoid being passive bystanders to the humanitarian crises around them. The games are accessible to children within and beyond Singapore.
