International Relief

A core area of Mercy Relief’s (MR) humanitarian work includes International Relief (IR) which aims to provide timely aid intervention in times of disaster- whether natural or man-made. Phase one of disaster response focuses on helping the local authorities and people to stabilize the situation through the provision of relief supplies needed on the ground. After the emergency period, the scoping and implementation of reconstruction and rehabilitation projects to help rebuild the lives of the affected communities will take effect as quickly as possible. This is important to ensure that the people can regain some normalcy in their lives.
